Windows mobile 7

This new version of the Windows Mobile Device Center contains key improvements and new features to support Windows Mobile 6 devices. Many consider Windows Phone 7 to be the successor of Windows Mobile 6. It allows you to see your mobile device remotely and capture the screen or video.

Just came across this thread on XDA-Developers forum where a forum member got a reply from HTC regarding Windows Mobile 7 upgrade for HD2. There have been a few rumours around about Windows Mobile 7 not being based on Windows CE.

At least something in the Windows universe is forwards and backwards compatible. These instructions are for devices running Windows Phone 7 and 8.

It seems to be some kind of emulator which runs Windows Mobile 6. I currently have a CN3e mobile computer which can only be upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.
